La boule de neige es una alegoría del invierno y del paisaje canadiense -un vasto territorio donde la figura humana es la excepción-, y una celebración de mi estancia allí durante una residencia de artista.
Mi intención primera fue realizar un objeto capaz de albergar múltiples referencias, y que, de alguna manera, continuara con mi modelo operativo en trabajos que se consuman por la acumulación y el esfuerzo.
De este modo, la idea de registrar el hacer una gigantesca bola de nieve amasada por un grupo de gente parecía perfecta. Sin embargo, la climatología en Canadá durante mi estancia impidió realizarla efectivamente, aún a pesar de haber conseguido reunir a las personas con que llevar a cabo la acción; amigos con las que abordar de manera colectiva este proyecto efímero y de tintes románticos que no es sino metáfora del valor de un logro comunitario.
Una vez de vuelta en España quise reflejar esa experiencia y materializarla en un dibujo mural que ilustrase paso a paso lo que hubiese sido.

The initial intention was to create an object that could accommodate multiple references and that, in a way, continued my operative model in works that are consum- mated by accumulation and effort.
Consequently, the idea of a giant snowball created by a group of people seemed perfect. Nevertheless, the weather in Canada during my stay prevented me from carrying it out appropriately, despite having gathered the people to perform the action. I wanted them to be people who were close to me, with whom I could tackle this ephemeral, romantic project that is nothing but a metaphor of the value of group achieve- ment.
Back in Spain I wanted to reflect the whole experience, so I decided to draw a mural. It allowed me to remember step by step those wonderful days I spent in Canada.
