We all feel better in the dark fue, es, y será, un mural de 200 x 200 cm realizado con lápiz de grafito directamente sobre una pared. Un dibujo que por sus sus características -y por la naturaleza del propio concurso en el que estaba inscrito- dialogaba abiertamente con parámetros propios de lo pictórico; y más concretamente con el genero del paisaje en particular.
Una propuesta que en su propio desarrollo llevaba implícito el concepto de pintura expandida, una de las líneas argumentales del concurso. Al ser un mural realizado in situ, éste hubo de realizarse en dos espacios diferentes; una primera vez para la valoración del jurado, y una segunda para su exposición junto con el conjunto de obras seleccionadas en el premio. En las dos ocasiones en las que se ejecutó las paredes intervenidas se repintaron, y volvieron a su blanco original.
Si, finalmente, la obra hubiese resultado ganadora del concurso
-hecho que no ocurrió-, se hubiese donado a los fondos de la Fundación Guash Coranty la fotografía de edición única del dibujo ejecutado en la exposición final del concurso. Lo pictórico se redefinía así en su propio proceso, explorando y ampliando sus límites.

We all fell better in the dark is, was, and will be a mural of 200 x 200 centimeters drawn with a graphite pencil directly on the wall. This project due to its features and the nature of the contest I was participating in, it was a very pictoric work linked closely with the landscape genre.
This proposal carried implicitly the concept of expanded painting, one of the thematic goals of the contest. Under extraordinary conditions, I had to develop a mural in situ two times, once in front of the judges, the second time for the exhibition alongside the rest of the selected projects. The walls were painted white after both interventions were finished.
If my project would have been selected as a winner, which it did not, I would have donated the unique picture of the finished drawing to the Guash Coranty Foundation. The visual element was redefined in its own process, exploring and broadening its horizons.
